Go on an Exploration Trip

There is nothing like a bit of exploration to stimulate the curious minds of children. Though hiking and trekking are great initiatives for teaching STEM, you can start small within the boundary of your neighborhood. Take your kid to daily walks around your localityand explain to them the things that they see around them. When the child gets fascinated by a brightly blooming flower, point out the science behind its color and growth. Carry Out Experiments

Let your child put his/her STEM skills to good use by turning your kitchen into a science lab, for a while. Management of Finances

Teaching them the basics of managing finances helps in building up their mathematical acumen and also makes them better equipped to grow into financially responsible adults. Sit with them when you are making the budget for the month or calculating the money after coming back from shopping. You can also buy them a piggy bank at an early age and ask them to keep track of the money thatthey are saving each month. Involve them in the calculations and let them do the addition, subtraction, and the likes.
