FitKidz Importance of Keeping Bones Strong

The Pre-Primary wing of JPIS   organized a comprehensive activity centered around the theme of "Healthy and Strong Bones." By aligning with SDG Goal 3 on 8th December 2023, we aim to foster a culture of good health and well-being among our youngest minds
The initiative aimed to educate young minds about the significance of calcium in maintaining robust bone health and instill habits that contribute to overall well-being.

During the activity, lively discussions were held to enlighten the students about various sources of calcium. Emphasis was placed on incorporating calcium-rich foods into their diets, such as dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese, as well as green leafy vegetables, nuts, and fortified cereals. Visual aids and interactive sessions engaged the children, making the learning experience both informative and enjoyable.

The core of the initiative was an engaging activity designed to impart practical knowledge on maintaining strong bones. The children participated in exercises and games that focused on physical activity, essential for bone development. Additionally, the importance of sunlight exposure for vitamin D synthesis, a crucial component for calcium absorption, was highlighted. The combination of fun activities and educational discussions created a holistic approach to imparting the importance of bone health.

The "Healthy and Strong Bones" initiative at FIT Kidz Pre-Primary Wing successfully blended education and activity to nurture a foundation of awareness regarding bone health. By empowering young minds with practical knowledge, the school strives to instill lifelong habits that contribute to the overall well-being of its students.
