Gandhi darshan event on Gandhi Jayanti at Rajghat attended by JPIS Scouts & Guides

On October 2, 2023, the Scouts and Guides of JP International School had the honor of participating in the Gandhi Darshan event at Rajghat, paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of the 154th Gandhi Jayanti. This significant event, organized by the National Headquarters of Scouts and Guides in New Delhi, saw the participation of around 200 individuals from various states across the country.
Representing the state of Uttar Pradesh, our students showcased their talent and dedication, earning recognition and prizes in various categories of different events. Together, all participants sang 'Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram' to pay homage and offer floral tributes to Gandhiji. Their remarkable achievements were acknowledged and awarded by esteemed dignitaries, including the Director of BSG, the Commissioner of Scouts, and the Joint Secretary of Scouts and Guides.
Notable accomplishments included:

  • Roll play Gandhiji: Siddhi Tyagi (2nd position).
  • Speech: Palak Yadav (1st position), Vanshika (3rd position).
  • Quiz: Namasvi Jaiswal (1st position).
  • Poster making: Anishka Sharma (1st position), Shreya Pachauri (2nd position), Vansh Sharma (3rd position).
  • Painting: Anishka Sharma (3rd position with Rs 1000 cash prize).

At JP International School, we hold dear the principles of Gandhian philosophy, instilling values of truthfulness, simplicity, honesty, and cleanliness in our students. The school principal congratulated each participant and encouraged them to continue walking the Gandhian path throughout their lives. Overall, the event was highly productive, with participants from Uttar Pradesh securing the maximum number of prizes.
