JPIS organized a seminar on STEM - Opportunities and benefits in School

On 19th of April 2024, JPIS hosted a seminar titled 'Opportunities and Benefits of STEM in School,' extending a warm welcome to the Speaker of the event and to students from grades VI to XI. The event showcased the insatiable curiosity of attendees eager to delve into the intricacies of STEM and explore its significance, functionality, and promising future prospects.

The distinguished speaker for the seminar was Mr. Merrick Russell, the esteemed CEO of Designability, who traversed all the way from Australia accompanied by his son and team. Mr. Russell delivered an enlightening address, highlighting how the trifecta of Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude serves as a gateway for aspiring individuals. He emphasized that a curious student perceives the world through a unique lens, and STEM offers myriad benefits, including broadening interests, imparting useful information, and expanding the realm of learning and development.

Following the seminar, guests were treated to a tour of the Mount Lab, where STEM students proudly exhibited an array of working models, including the Smart Blind Stick, Lego Crane, Radar System, Disco Light, Auto Car Controller, and Toll Controller. Mr. Russell and his entourage displayed keen interest in each project, engaging in insightful discussions with the students on the spot.

A dedicated team from the School Media Club seized the opportunity to interact with Mr. Russell, delving deeper into the topic and garnering insights into his life and journey in STEM. Mr. Russell graciously fielded all questions posed by the school media students, thoroughly enjoying the exchange. He commended the school's efforts in organizing the event, lauded the students for their innovative projects, and expressed appreciation for the School Media Club's initiative.

The culmination of the event was marked by a sumptuous lunch, and inspiring students to embark on their own journeys of exploration and innovation in the field.
